Stunning in masses or as an accent. Grows well in shade, grows well in heat, and produces pink, feathery blooms on tall stiff stalks. Foliage grows 4' tall. Grouped in masses, Korean Feather Reed Grass creates a relaxing, picturesque look in the landscape.
Golden Dew Tufted Hair Grass forms slender arching mounds of foliage with medium green leaves and silvery red flower spikes. Blooms appear in early to late summer, maturing to golden yellow in fall. Flower spikes reach 24-36" tall.
Red Wind Japanese Forest Grass grows 18 to 24" tall. In sping and summer this groundcover is highlighted with light golden green foliage mixed with deeper green foliage. Foliage turns deep scarlet with cool fall weather. Part Sun to Shade.
Shenandoah turns deep burgundy in cool fall weather with pinkish flower spikes. During summer the foliage has a lovely, dark purple cast on its tips. A selection of our native prairie switchgrass, drought resistant and very durable. Grows 36 to 48" tall, prefers full sun. Deer Resistiant.
Our favorite Pennisetum, 'Piglet' has strong growth with a mounding, flowing habit. Slightly more compact than 'Hameln'. We think this is winter hardier than 'Hameln'. Grows 18 - 24" tall, grows best in full sun. Tawny colored plumes. Salt tolerant.
Fine textured, deep green foliage with light and airy plumes. Grows 24 - 30" tall by 24" wide. Native. Great yellow to orange fall color, grows well in almost any soil. Nice flowing accent or groundcover for almost any garden.
