Team Captain
 Greg Monroe Primary: F-75 Back-up:1266-x

Hello Team Fisher.  I have been enjoying the hobby of metal detecting since about 1975, and have used nearly all of the Fisher "X" series brands, as well as the 1270.  My  favorite field of detecting is Civil War relics, but I am also interested in Colonial sites,  beach and underwater detecting.  My  other hobbies include scuba, martial arts, and hiking/camping.

I will be using the F-75 at this year's GNRS, and will also bring a 1266-X as a backup, in case anyone needs one.

I'm looking forward to this year's hunt, and am proud to be a member of Team Fisher.

 Phillip McCutcheon Primary: F-75 Back-up: 1

My name is Phil McCutcheon aka Phinder Phil.  I started metal detecting about 10 years ago, but I've always looked for things, everything from "dumpster diving" to "mudlarking".  My first  metal detector was the Fisher CZ-7A, that I still use today.  It's been a real good machine for me.  Although I am always considering upgrading to the latest greatest machine, I won't get rid of the 7A, just find it a new stable mate.  I'm mainly a coinshooter looking for older coins, but I love finding relics when I can.  In 2000, I took an 11 day metal detecting trip to England.  Although finding 2000 year old Roman coins and hammered silver coins from the Middle Ages is a real thrill, nothing beats finding really old American coins and Civil War relics.
I hope this is the year that the Fisher team brings home the trophy that it deserves.
GO TEAM FISHER

 Jeff Hines Primary: F-75 Back-up: Cz-5

Howdy All.

My name is Jeff Hines, 47, currently living in Arlington Virginia. Originally from Virginia's Shenandoah Valley area, have lived and relic hunted in the Fredericksburg/Stafford area, as well as the Manassas/Centreville area. I'm currently concentrating on new areas in the Shenandoah Valley.  I started relic diggin' in the late 1970's and never looked back.  I like to hunt house sites also and maybe on
occasion the beach, but my primary focus has always been on CW relic sites.  Over the years I've used many different makes of metal detectors to include: Metrotech, Whites, Tesoro, Minelab, Nautilus and of course Fisher.  My first Fisher machine was the VLF 555-D, and have used models in the CZ line as well.  Currently playing with the new F75.  I've participated in many previous GNRS and NS hunts, and was the team captain for last year's GNRS team Nautilus.  I'm looking forward to meeting everybody on the team and having a blast up there in Yankee territory....Do I need a passport??  ;-)

Wilson Smith Primary: Cz-3d Back-up: Edge

Hello, my name is Wilson Smith and I live on a farm near Millen , Georgia .  Sherman and Company came right through the middle of the farm on his way to Savannah .  I started metal detecting in 1974.  Like most, I hunted coins.  My first civil relic was an “R” button found on the farm.  Took me two years to find out what it was.  On the farm I have found a few of the following:  Conn. , N. Y. Militia, unusual eagles, “R”, GMI, S. C., Texas (Miss?), six pound  cannonball, etc.  Never found a plate.

I lost my precious wife in a plane crash  September 1, 1998 .  My daughter and her family live in Augusta , Ga.   I try to see her, and especially the grandchildren, at least weekly.

I look forward to seeing all of you in October.  O yes, I presently use a CZ3D and Edge.  For you trivia experts:  I was a navy pilot and, and at one time, flew the world’s largest (longest) aircraft.  What was it?

  Bryan Jordan: Primary: Cz-70 Back-up: 1266

Hi everyone.  I'm Bryan.  50 year old from the farmland in rural South Carolina.  been relic hunting for 22 years and this is my first GNRS.  I have used Fisher for 20 years, and now 1270 and 1266X are my tools of choice.  Love to dig Civil War but there are colonial sites and a few Rev. War locations here in the SC lowcountry.  you could say that I'm an omnivore,  I'll dig almost anything OLD.  We may not find any slave tags  but I guarantee we find some great stuff on this hunt.

GO FISHER.  HH and see you in Sept.

Hi, from Walt Piper (Michigan Digger),  Member of the Fisher Team for the  2006 GNRS.  I am delighted, honored and excited to have the opportunity to participate in this well-organized hunt, and am looking forward to meeting many new relic hunting friends.  My home is in the often frozen tundra of Ann Arbor, Michigan.  I have been an enthusiastic Civil War relic hunter since 1988, and consider it my favorite hobby. My detector of choice for this GNRS (my first for Team Fisher) is the 1270-X.  This is just my second GNRS. and I am going to do my best to improve this year,  with the dream of assisting Fisher Team members take the top spot.

  Al Cicconi: Primary: F-75 Back-up: CZ-5

Hello, this will be my fourth  GNRS.  I am Thirty-nine, and live in Jackson, New Jersey. I am married with two children ages 9 and 13.  I have always had an attraction to digging in the soil. As a kid growing up in north jersey I used to dig huge holes in my backyard looking for dinosaur bones and buried treasure. Today as a farmer/nursery owner I am still digging in the soil. I took up metal detecting as a therapeutic way to relieve stress about five years ago. Using a Fisher 1225X I detected a few construction sites near my home. By some luck I found an area that was loaded with square nails (boy that 1225X can sure find some good nails) I hunted that site as much as I could before they developed it. I became hooked when that site gave up some odd finds for New Jersey, an eagle cuff button and a rifle tool. I also had the luck to find a Revolutionary War rifle sling buckle at another property not far from the Monmouth Battlefield. Lately I have been doing some coin shooting at the beach with my CZ. I am also the Webmaster for this years Team Fisher GNRS Page. I look forward to meeting everyone and helping to take that trophy away from Team Nautilus. :)                           Al   (AC) Official New Jersey state flag.
